Today was a travel day. We got up, packed, got a good lunch and pastries from Roger's bakery, then took a short taxi ride to the airport and a comfortable flight from Cuenca to Quito.
We took another taxi ride from the airport to Rincon de Puembo hotel, where we had spent our first night in country. This time we were there by mid afternoon, so we had time to relax and enjoy the place, and repacked down to one suitcase (for the 2 of us) and a backpack each for the trip to Galapagos. We left one big suitcase (full of ceramics and cool weather clothes) at the hotel for pickup on the way home.
Sat by the pool drinking wine before dinner. Really good, quiet dinner at the hotel. My fish dinner was outstanding.
